NHC says 70% chance of cyclone over northeastern Gulf of Mexico

A broad low pressure area that has emerged over Apalachee Bay in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico has a 70% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Tuesday.
