Hurricane Dorian lashes Bahamas, a million evacuated along U.S. east coast

Hurricane Dorian battered the Bahamian islands of Great Abaco and Grand Bahama early on Monday, peeling off roofs, toppling cars and snapping power lines as rising floodwater threatened to engulf houses.
