French carbon emissions fell 4.2% year-on-year in 2018

Carbon dioxide emissions in France fell by 4.2% in 2018 compared with the previous year due to a drop in emissions from the transport sector, a mild winter, and abundant supply of French nuclear energy which curbed the use of thermal power.
