Earthquake measuring 6.2 strikes off Papua New Guinea

An earthquake with an initial magnitude of 6.2 struck 148 km (92 miles) south of Rabaul island in northeastern Papua New Guinea on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
